One of Ottawa’s eastern suburbs, Chapel Hill is still a partially rural area, considered a suburb under the greater Orleans and Gloucester community designations. It has several older areas but is growing rapidly with several new home developments.
There are two sections, Chapel Hill North and South, with Innes road acting as the dividing line.
Well known as one of Ottawa’s natural treasures, many call it the “Enchanting Woodland Community” since it was masterly planned amidst breathtaking woodlands, a ravine, and extensive parkland. The west side of the community is home to the beautiful Greens’ Greek Conservation area, complete with nature trails and plenty of open park space.
Extremely family oriented, this neighbourhood is quiet and welcoming, with plenty of nearby schools, churches, and recreational facilities. Shopping is close at hand, with big box and ample shops and services offered at Place D’Orleans shopping centre.
There is easy access to Hwy 417 for quick trips to the downtown core, as well as O-Train stations, park ‘n Ride, and well serviced bus routes throughout the Chapel Hill neighbourhoods.
